TERMS AND CONDITIONS

 

Accessing and using the GLENI website requires meeting all the terms and conditions below.Please read this document carefully prior to ordering any goods by means of our website or online shop.Acquiring access to the website and using it requires meeting the following terms and conditions as provided by applicable law.

Modification


The present Agreement is subject to modification at any time. Any and all modification shall be deemed immediately effective on notification about a change of Agreement.By accessing and using the website you agree to follow the Agreement and track its subsequent changes.

Orders/Contract

All orders are received via the Internet, by phone or fax.Please run Order Confirmation and immediately notify GLENI of any error. Any incorrect data sent by Order Confirmation would be used for performing the Contract.GLENI reserves the exclusive right to accept or refuse an order or perform it within the agreed timeframe.

Prices and Goods Availability

The prices of goods are quoted in the GLENI price list.The quoted prices do not include the expectable customs duties and shipment costs which vary depending on shipment methods.If the requested goods are not available we shall notify you by e-mail in good time.All data specific to goods prices and availability which are given on the GLENI website are subject to change without prior notice.

SHIPMENT OF GOODS

All shipment terms given on the GLENI website are provisional and entirely depend on goods availability, order processing and shipment terms provided by specific carriers.

Order processing terms vary from 1 week to 2 months depending on stock availability, personalization requirements and (quite important) the CITES control which all python bags are subject to (The U.N. Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of
Wild Flora and Fauna (CITES) was signed in 1973. Currently there are over 125 CITES member states.

The Convention is aimed at protecting or rare and endangered species by regulating trade in these species and their derivative products.The restrictions apply to such rare species of animals and plants such as apes, wild cats, parrots, lizards, snakes; orchids and cacti as well as the so-called derivatives - i.e. goods of tiger, leopard, jaguar or lion skin; alligator, cobra, python or lizard skin bags, belts, wallets and the like.

The delivery terms are also operator-dependant.

GOODS DELIVERY TERMS


The goods available in stock are shipped on the day following the order (made exception for items realized with python's skin, which need the Cites certificates to be shipped and we usually have to wait about a week before receiving them).The delivery term ranges from 1 to 10 days depending on each particular destination.Should we run out of stock with the requested items we would immediately notify the customer and provide updated information.You can also check goods availability by contacting our Customer Service Department.

GUARANTEES

GLENI warrants that all the supplied goods are identical to the ones represented on the website (The item realized by our italian tanneries, being completely hand-made, could be subject to very light colouring changes. However, they don't absolutely modify the excellent quality of the item self, a perfect quality promised and guaranteed by our company).

Applicable Law and Jurisdiction

Any dispute specific to use, performance, interpretation and violation of the contract electronically signed by the customer and GLENI is subject to Italian Law.
Any dispute between the above parties shall be taken to a court of law at the legal address or residence of the customer (if on the Italian territory).If the customer is registered or resides outside Italy the dispute shall be taken to the court of law at the contract performance venue.

Illegality

If for any reason any part of the above terms and conditions becomes irrelevant or inapplicable the remaining part shall be deemed in full effect and may not be declared null and void.

 

ORDER CANCELLATION


You may cancel the goods purchase order at any time.To cancel your order please forward the appropriate notice within 10 (ten) days from the date of delivery (pursuant to Paragraph B of Clause 6 of Law # 185 dated May 22, 1999) and return the goods within the next 15 (fifteen) days after providing the code (number) of the Return Material Authorization (RMA) provided by the Customer Service Department.
On delivery of goods please make sure that:

  • The number of items matches the quantity stated in the accompanying documents;
  • The goods nomenclature and quality which may be indicated on the packing are compliant with the accompanying invoice which is always included on shipment;
  • The packing is intact, dry and devoid of any signs of damage.  

Should there be any discrepancy in quantity or information designated on the packing, any missing items, damage etc. you must immediately notify the carrier and our Customer Service Department providing all the basic order information.

WHO MAY CANCEL AN ORDER?


Order may be cancelled by individuals only.This right does not apply to purchases made by a distributor or agent acquiring the goods for resale purposes.

LEGAL BACKGROUND

 Pursuant to the latest amendments to the Italian Law (specifically Law # 185 dated May 22, 1999) the customer has the right to cancel the order within 10 (ten) days after acceptance of goods by returning the property in question to the sender who shall provide a refund of the returned goods price.

The Legislative Decree n. 185/99 excludes the right of recess for the contracts:
1. of supply of services whose execution is begun, with your agreement, before the expiration of the term of 10 days. ;
2. of supply of goods and services whose price is tied to fluctuations of the financial market’s rates that the supplier is not able to control or to foresee;
3. of supply of goods which have been manifactured on measure to you or clearly personalized to you or that, because of their nature, cannot be shipped back or risk to deteriorate or to perish very quickly;

HOW TO CANCEL YOUR ORDER

Prior to contacting our Customer Service Department please make sure to have the following documents and information:

  • Original invoice (order and invoice number, customer code; or item (items) code in addition to the purchasing invoice in case of partial cancellation);
  • Banking details for wiring the money (ABI - CAB Code – the number of the invoice owner's current account).Should the customer (i.e. the person on the invoice) who initiates the cancellation procedure does not have a bank account he/she may provide the details of a family member’s or friend’s bank account by sending us a precise request providing authorization for wiring the amount to the specified account.  

Please send a signed letter of advice explaining your intention to cancel the designated order by registered mail and, if possible, to the following fax number: +39 0735657565 .The application must contain all the necessary information such as the order and invoice numbers, customer’s code, designations of goods subject to return (item code) and banking details.Please obtain the RMA code (number) from our Customer Service Department and send the goods subject to return within the next 15 (fifteen) days.

In any case the order may be cancelled by meeting the following criteria: 

  • Purchased goods integrity;  
  • Payment of goods shipment costs as provided by law;
  • All returned goods are scrutinized for integrity (principal refund condition) on check-in to the warehouse.Therefore we strongly recommend packing the goods properly or using the original manufacturer’s packing materials.

SHIPPING

  • On initiation of the order cancellation procedure and obtaining the RMA code (number) please use all reasonable precautions to prevent any damage or loss.Should the customer fail to comply with the above requirement we reserve the right to reject the returned goods and deny the refund.  
  • Please identify the shipped packages clearly with the obtained RMA code (number).  
  • When done please send the goods at your own expense at the address below:

Should the goods fail to contain any RMA code (number) the warehouse will not accept it and send it back to the sender at the latter’s expense.

ATTENTION:We highly recommend using express delivery services or any other shipment methods enabling tracking your delivery.Failure to return the goods belonging to a cancelled order would result in denying a refund.

RETURNED GOODS REFUND TERM

The Customer is eligible to a refund of the total invoice price within 14 (fourteen) days after the date of goods acceptance (return).The amount above does not include the wire commission (pursuant to Paragraph 6 of Clause 5 of Law #185 dated May 22, 1999).  

Note:Our Company reserves the right to reject goods or their components which fail to meet the criteria below:

  • Adequate packing for the chosen shipment method;
  • Prior assignment of the appropriate RMA code (number) by the Customer Service Department;
  • Shipment in full compliance with the methods and procedures established by the Customer Service Department.
